SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

Santa will surely be coming to town but last Saturday he made a surprise visit to the Christmas Bazaar held at the Anglican Church organised by Nita de Peterson and her little team of helpers.

All was in aid of raising funds for the church and a great day was had by all.Yes, I had to go and on behalf of Celebrity Magazine lend a hand, well, part with some cash for the many bargains on sale. I must say that the burger was excellent and a snip at 2 euros. Okay, I was not a stall helper but it was great to see so many people there and many I had not seen for sometime. The stalls were selling so many items from crockery to jewellery, books and even a toaster which I had to buy. A bargain and needed as only days before my toaster decided to malfunction so what a find!

It works a treat so toast and coffee is back on my morning menu. The stalls, the homemade mulled wine, a must at any Christmas bazaar, face painting for the kids and also some adults raised laughs. A lovely atmosphere and chats amongst both visitors and helpers alike. Are we back to normality? I hope so, as we have all missed meeting friends and making new over these last challenging years. So many stalls both outside and inside the church and even in the church hall below. I found and brought things I did not need, or did I?

Anyway all was for a good cause and many spent their time in organising what was a wonderful Bazaar. The mince pies and home made cakes topped it all with coffee and yes, another cup of mulled wine. I even met Santa so my day was complete! Not only that the morning started with the talented BIC School choir singing in the church. What an opener, but that was not all!! No, as during the day we were entertained by Izzy Newman, many I am sure know Izzy who always has a smile and her songs both pop and Christmas filled the church adding more to the day and dressed as Santa Claus also. What more could we want? An enjoyable day, goodies to eat and my purchases could not be faulted. A fun day and money raised for the church. Well done to all who took time out to be a stall holder for the day and to Nita in particular whose energy on arranging such events is to be applauded. As I always say.
