Hull Yeah:  Mallorca’s Biennial Axoparty Rocks the Med

Recently, 12 Axopar owners (plus a cheeky Nimbus!) got together for Multimar Alcudia’s biennial Axoparty.  Assembling off the coast of Puerto Pollensa, the distinguished dozen savoured a day of formation cruising, raft-up dining and great conversation.  Fittingly, ten of the fleet were from the Axopar 37 range – a model that celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.

Multimar Alcudia Sales Manager, Teddy Torkington, said:  “The Axoparty is a genuine highlight of the boating calendar.  We assemble North Mallorca’s Axopar-owning community – old and new – and navigate them through an action-packed day afloat.  Already with something in common – impeccable taste in boats – it’s a treat to watch the families interact and friendships blossom, while navigating some of the Island’s most beautiful waters.  This year, the flotilla cruised the Formentor coastline and conditions were idyllic – we couldn’t have asked for a better day.”

The 2025 Axoparty rendezvoused at La Fortaleza at 10:30, before cruising en masse past the new Four Seasons Resort Mallorca, round Cap de Formentor, and towards the rocky island of Es Colomer.  Here, shared radio channel 68 was deftly used to coordinate a picture-perfect circumnavigation of the island – captured on drone for posterity.  Cala San Vicente (ideal for safe, sandy anchoring) was the chosen location for the lunchtime raft-up of boats ranging between 25 to 37 feet.  There followed several happy hours of swimming, sipping and socialising, with the Multimar Alcudia team hopping transom to transom with a tapas-style picnic and drinks.  Mid-afternoon, anchors were weighed and the fleet made an impromptu stop to swim in a secret blue cave before heading back to base.  Refreshments continued at the recently opened Varadero Club, which boasts the best views in Puerto Pollensa.

“It was an exceptionally good day,” Teddy finishes.  “When Multimar Alcudia sold its very first Axopar back in 2016, the brand was barely two years’ old and we could never have predicted its meteoric rise on the Mediterranean nautical scene.  There are now easily in excess of 100 Axopars dotted throughout Mallorca’s coastline, and we’re privileged to be part of this vibrant community.”

The Axopar range currently spans 22 to 45 feet, with a variety of configurations to suit the owners’ lifestyle, from a summer Sun-Top to an all-weather XC Cross Cabin.  Prices start from c57,000 euros for a 22 (incl. engines and IVA) – dependent on final spec.

Multimar Alcudia, a family-run business, was founded 25 years ago in 2000 and is a local market leader in boat sales, charter, maintenance, and servicing.  Based in Port Alcudia – and now Puerto Pollensa – the company is an official dealer for Boston Whaler, Grand Inflatable Boats, Nordkapp and, of course, Axopar.
