We were, and are still shocked by the terrible devastation in the Valencia province from the storm DANA which recently caused so much loss of life, and of homes and businesses. Our thoughts and those throughout Spain and beyond are with all who are trying to recover from this catastrophe and suffering. Here in Mallorca we were lucky that the storm and other rains only caused some minor damage but on a scale that we could manage. For others in Valencia the damage is ongoing and will take many months to repair but with the will of the people life will return to normality. Strong people and strong faith will overcome and so it is that a special concert has been arranged for this Friday 29th November by Alfredo Oyaquez, Artistic Director of the Deia International Music Festival. Alfredo and his team have organised what will be an amazing concert evening to raise money for the Valencia fund.
This unique and wonderful concert will bring in much needed funds to help those in need and I am sure you will agree that the help will be well received. Please find the time to attend this concert as it is so will bring together some of the best classical music performers of Mallorca all on one evening. You will, without doubt enjoy the pieces played and also know that the proceeds for entry are going to help others.
