Harry and Meghan snub Christmas with the Royals

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1581″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have once again made the headlines around the globe, this time after the announcement that the couple will not be spending Christmas Day with the Queen at Sandringham.

Christmas Day at Sandringham has long been a tradition of the Queen as it gives the Royal Family a chance to all get together to celebrate. Prince William and Kate will be with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh which is fuelling the rumours that there is a rift between the two royal couples.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Wednesday. “Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland. This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen.”

Many people believe that, due to the Queen and Prince Phillip’s age, the couple should spend the holidays with them and bring Archie while others believe it is perfectly fair for Meghan to want to be with her mother over Christmas.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
