NICK KYRGIOS, THE AUSTRALIAN STAR, WILL COMPETE AT THE MALLORCA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022

Mallorca, March 2th, 2022. – The ATP250 Mallorca Championships has confirmed the participation of the eccentric Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios in the tournament that will be held on the grass courts of the Mallorca Country Club in Santa Ponça from the 18th to the 25th of June.

The recent winner of the Australian Open 2022 Doubles competition with Thanasi Kokkinakis will be competing in both singles and doubles. Kyrgios, who was number 13 in the world and a quarterfinalist at Wimbledon in the past, has shown his excitement about playing the tournament: “I’m very much looking forward to playing for the first time at the Mallorca Championships and on the grass courts of the Mallorca Country Club. Kyrgios is always a contender for winning the tournament due to his strong serve and unorthodox style of play, especially on grass courts. Nick Kyrgios, winner of six ATP titles, broke into the circuit at a very young age, winning four junior grand slams, including two Wimbledon doubles titles. The Australian has always declared himself a great lover of tennis on grass and with his presence at the Mallorca Country Club he will close his preparation for the third Grand Slam of the year, Wimbledon.

Before Mallorca, Nick Kyrgios will also serve at the Weissenhof tournament in Stuttgart from June 5 to 12, 2022, which, like the Mallorca Championships, are also organized by the e|motion group and is played on grass.
