Homes and Yachts are Dovetailed

When you leave your home,  would like to enter your home on the ocean with the same quality of style? At the yearly Palma International Boat Show in April you will be impressed by how the modern yachts look more stylish than most houses or apartments you have ever seen. Just giving you an impression how what a modern yacht looks like, seen at the Boat Show.

This vertical bow yacht features large deck spaces including a huge aft deck, a generous beach club and a foredeck Jacuzzi on her exterior. Her interior accommodates a spacious six-stateroom layout split over three decks, making her the perfect yacht for 12 guests. She was built to Lloyd's Class and commercial standards making her ideal for both charter and private use.

An Italian yacht offering comfort in a beautiful package. She is the ideal home away from home. Speaking of Italian design - at the Folgore Day event in Miami, Maserati revealed the world’s first convertible all-electric car, and we were impressed by another one of their unveils. This is the Tridente all-electric luxury motorboat that dots the Italian automaker’s presence on the waters as well.

Just picture a scenario wherein you arrive on a coast in your GranCabrio Folgore, and the Tridente powerboat has you covered for a day at sea. Completely electric, the powerboat is developed in collaboration with VitaPower, a seasoned EV marine company. The EV boat has traces of the Vita Lion powerboat in its DNA, but the Maserati influence is seen in the modern design and upgrades. The carbon fibre-hulled speedboat measures 34 feet long and allows fat-pocketed millionaires to explore the waters in luxury and comfort. The vessel draped in a beautiful rose gold finish has seating for eight, a swimming platform, and a sundeck bed. The interiors are done in cream to contrast the luxe exteriors and Maserati’s craft can be seen in the streamlined design. The hull is made out of carbon fiber to keep the weight down to a minimum and that helps the dual electric motors powered by the four batteries churn out a maximum of 600 horsepower. According to Maserati, the powerboat will reach a top speed of 40 knots with a cruising speed of 25 knots for a range of 43 miles on a single charge. The batteries can be topped up in an hour with a DC fast charge connection which is great if you don’t like long delays before another escapade to the waters.

Going a step further in the future of yachting. Well, we’ve seen them all, from the luxury-laden vessels to those rarely crossed noblemen’s imagination. Lazzarini Design Studio has always surprised us with its unique concept of yachts just when we think nothing could be better, and this one is right up there with the best.

This mega-yacht reimagines what a multibillionaire would want in a luxury vessel and betters it. The idea is to make water adventures fun, and not let the owner and guests onboard get bored on long adventure trips. So, why not have a huge blimp that would be exponentially better than a helicopter parked on the deck?

Discerning Billionaires who want to own the best super vessel to navigate the seas in style brace up for the Migaloo M5 superyacht. Labelled as the future of yachting, this $2 billion high-end vessel by the Austrian-based Migaloo is twice more expensive than the current costliest superyacht, the Lürssen Dilbar at $800 million.

The hyper-luxurious seacraft would still be out of the reach of many billionaires even and that’s what makes it special. Measuring 544 feet long and 75 feet wide, the M5 is a heaven on water for the 20 guests and 40 crew members. But that’s not where the surprises stop, it is also capable of diving to a depth of 820 feet and making an underwater stay for four weeks! There’ll be more than anyone can bargain for to do on their extended holiday trips thanks to the two custom Midget submarines, two submersibles, a helicopter, jet skis, kite surfing and paddle boarding activities. This will be possible with the plethora of water toys that the superyacht will carry along including five Sea-Doo Jet-Skis, Seabobs, ROVs. UUVs, Zapata Racing flyboards, hoverboards, and everything else you need for paddleboarding, kitesurfing, and kayaking. Land expeditions when docked on shore are also not out of the question with the two expedition vehicles and pickup trucks. M5 fitted with a hybrid propulsion engine (diesel and AIP) will have a range exceeding 9,300 miles with a surface speed of 20 knots and 12 knots underwater exploration. According to Migaloo CEO Christian Gumpold, safety is their major concern after the Titan submersible’s unfortunate tragedy. To this end, finding prospective buyers was a challenge and they are looking for visionary billionaires who have “extraordinary demands for exclusivity, safety, adventure.”

Before you get wet on this dream boat -there is one saying: "you can get burned by owning a boat - it's like taking a shower of money going in the drain" - but we only live once, right. So take a deep dive into the yachting scene and pick your poison on water. Have fun and enjoy.
