As Winter turns to Spring and then to Summer we appreciate those long light evenings and warm air and for those that love Classical music the time has come. Yes, Mallorca is in my opinion an island of music and the local musicians cannot be faulted. Others from afar also visit in the colder months and perform in theatres. Music of all types transport you to a different World but Classical music is something different. Now summer is upon us we can all look forward to wonderful outdoor concerts at 5* Finca hotels, Bodegas’s, Belver castle and at some of the grand houses on the island.

The programme of events is taking shape and this summer will once again bring amazement to those attending classic music events as the talents of those performing bring bring joy and relaxation away from the daily pressures and bad news. A time to eradicate those negative thoughts and just enjoy an evening of beautiful music. Violins, Pianists, Soprano’s and orchestra’s. All in magical surroundings and a glass of vino will not be welcomed to add to the ambience of the concert.
Once again Celebrity Mallorca Magazine will draw you into what is, in my view the most prestigious of the concerts. The Deia International Music Festival. El Festival International de Musica de Deia 2026. A schedule of concerts awaits all and thanks to the director Alfredo Oyaguez Montero whose energy and skills has arranged concerts at some of the finest venues on the island and to provide you with a memorable evening. Alfredo is indeed one of the most talented pianists on Mallorca and also a Conductor.
The first of two concerts of the Festival are nearly upon us as on Wednesday 27th May there will be a concert in one of the historical ballrooms at Son Marroig, Deia. Performing on piano will be the renowned Pal Eide from Norway playing his “ Beyond Belle” a timeless dream at 19.30 A magnificent start to the Season. Not only that if Son Marroig is a long drive then on Thursday 28th May at 19.30 our very own Alfredo together with Kasper Bach will captivate you playing what is four hands on the piano at the historic Sa Bassa Rotja Hotel, near Porreres. A magical concert with two pianists playing pieces from Brahms and many others. An evening not to be missed.
I am sure that lovers of classical music will enjoy the season and I shall bring you more news as the weeks go by. For tickets and schedule please visit the website www.dimf.com .All details can be found so do visit the website early.
